Sustainability, our guideline

The great environmental impact that our activity has in the area in which we operate has always required us to pay particular attention to protecting and safeguarding the areas covered by our production activities. We have always believed in the possibility of convergence between the interests of healthy mining productivity and those of serious environmental protection.

We believed in it to the point that it became a challenge for us!

As a supplier of mineral-based raw materials, we want to demonstrate how we can transform the ever-increasing pressure on natural systems around the world into a resource for our dear earth, restoring its biodiversity.

From a sustainability perspective

Mission

Our mission is to extract, transform and commercialize mineral resources in a sustainable and responsible way, providing high quality products and customized solutions to our customers; to recover and re-evaluate secondary raw materials and non-hazardous industrial waste; to design and build machines and plants for mining treatment and for the valorisation of industrial waste.

Vision

We are committed to operating in full compliance with environmental and safety standards, promoting a corporate culture based on ethics, integrity and social responsibility.

Purpose

Every day our commitment is aimed at the responsible management of the resources with which we operate. Our aim is to create value for our stakeholders through circular economy activities that affect both our business and the wider community with which we come into contact, maximizing the quantity and quality of the "waste" to be re-allocated to our customers' production cycle (end of waste approach).

Sustainable Development Goals

To confirm the commitment to promoting a business model that integrates economic, social and environmental responsibility in all corporate aspects and activities, we have identified, starting from 2020, the most significant Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs in relation to the impacts generated on the territory, in order to make the existing link between sustainable development and our business actions more explicit.

The SDGs are a set of 17 goals defined by the United Nations, with the aim of guiding countries and organizations around the world on the path to reducing inequalities, promoting economic prosperity, social development and protecting environment.

The objectives, together with the 169 specific targets, constitute the fundamental elements of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

In 2023, we joined companies from 160 countries around the world that have signed up to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), that encourages companies to actively promote the principles of ethical conduct and responsible business.

Joining the Global Compact commits us to combining the principles established by the Pact with the Sustainability Policy and integrating them into decision-making processes, consolidating our role as a socially responsible company.

Founded in 1999 by the United Nations, the Global Compact is the world’s largest strategic corporate citizenship initiative, established with the aim of encouraging the application, dissemination and support of the ten fundamental principles related to human rights, working conditions, environment and fight against corruption, a real appeal to companies around the world to support, apply and promote the values of sustainability in the long term.
