New equipped area at the Boca mine

In Boca, on the edge of the road to and from the mine, Minerali industriali has created an equipped parking area which, in agreement with the Municipality, has been also completed with street furniture.

The area that is adjacent to the area of ​​the mine’s environmental compensation point will thus be made available to the public who will be able to use it as a meeting place for departures / arrivals of excursions in the nearby Monte Fenera Natural Park, a protected natural area covering almost 4000 hectares.

The inaugural ceremony saw the involvement of the workers of the Minerali Industriali staff of Boca accompanied by their families, the Mayor and a representative of the Park Authority.

It was a pleasant occasion that gave way to present the Company’s activities in the local area and also at the level of an important national and international Group.

The inauguration of the area was then preceded by a speech by the Mayor which led to the cutting of the ribbon together with the little ones present and to a recreational moment.

An interesting and relaxing morning enriched by a colorful autumn day.

 

THE BOCA MINE

That of Boca is a small mine surrounded by woods, on the edge of the natural area of ​​Monte Fenera, where environmental system interventions accompany the extraction development; today vast are completely greened and planted. Environmental compensation interventions have also determined the enhancement of valuable wooded areas surrounding the extraction areas.

 

The area has undergone a major restoration project, which has restored the vegetation cover and has and has recreated the ideal habitat for numerous species of birds and insects.

 

 

 

In the rhyolite mine of Boca, in the province of Novara, today there are approximately 150,000 tons per year destined for the ceramic tile industry; the extracted material is treated in the annexed crushing and screening plant.
